Walking Street Theatre

Walking up and down a small shopping area dressed in recognisable costumes with your message on a large sign can have a huge impact. The message could also direct them to your stall.

Best is a mixture of walking about and stopping to invite the passers-by, or waiting-around demonstrators, to do something, for example:

- Listen to/sing a song (but have laminated word sheets, make it simple and repetitive and preferably a recognisable popular tune)

- Give an ASBO to Bush and take their own photo of it.

- Listen to a proclamation you read

- Pat the Gordon Brown poodle that George Bush has on a lead

- Sign the petition/postcard/vote/throw sponges.

-Aunty Oil bosses her troublesome nephew George and his poodle Tony. This performance accompanied an anti-war march in Nottingham.-
